Ratan Tata, former SC judge, among new trustees of PM CARES FUND

New Delhi: Former Rajasthan cadre IAS Rajeev Mehrishi has yet again been accorded a position of repute by Modi govt as he has been nominated in advisory board of PM Cares Fund. Two others, Sudha Murty and Anand Shah, have also been appointed as advisors. Industrialist Ratan Tata (Chairman Tata sons), former SC Judge KT Thomas and former Dy Speaker of LS Kariya Munda have been nominated trustees, along with HM Shah and FinMin Sitharaman. PM Modi chaired a meeting of the PM CARES Fund on Wednesday. PM said that participation of new trustees and advisors will provide wider perpectives on functioning of Fund. Notably, 1978 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS Rajeev Mehrishi has been one of Modi’s favourite & trusted officer. He has served on top posts like home secy and fin secy in the Modi govt. He has also served as the Comptroller and Auditor General in the Centre and has also served as Chief Secretary of Rajasthan in 2013-14.
