Ranbir Kapoor reveals he had a Sanjay Dutt hangover after filming Sanju

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ranbir Kapoor is an incredible actor and has always played his every role to the T. His excellent acting skills could be seen through his portrayal of Sanjay Dutt in the biographical film, Sanju. Ranbir embodied the Munna Bhai MBBS actor so perfectly that it blurred the lines between the real and reel Sanju. The close relationship between Ranbir and Sanjay added to the success of the film.

During a recent interview, Ranbir talked about the aftermath of playing the character. He said, “I never took a character at home. Though after I finish Sanju, it took me time to get over the Sanjay Dutt hangover. This is because my eyes became like him, I started smiling like him, and I started walking like him. So that took a little time, but other than that, no other film.”

Sanju was the last film of Ranbir Kapoor before the lockdown was induced due to the pandemic. The actor is making his comeback after four years with an array of films including Karan Malhotra’s ‘Shamshera’ with Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra: Part One’ with his wife Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy and Luv Ranjan’s romantic drama along with Shraddha Kapoor.
