PHASE 1 LOCKED AND LOADED!

New Delhi/Jaipur: Millions of Indians have voted in the first phase of world’s largest elections as PM Modi seeks a third term on the back of issues such as growth, welfare and Hindu nationalism. The vote pits Modi’s BJP against an alliance of two dozen Opposition parties that promise greater affirmative action and more handouts while stressing what they call the need to save democratic institutions. After polls closed on Friday, an aggregate 62.37% voter turnout was recorded in phase one of Lok Sabha polls on Friday, EC said.
