OVER 3 LAKH CHILDREN GET COVID-19 VAX ON FIRST DAY

1. 53 new omicron cases in state, Jaipur gets highest 43 cases
2. 550 Corona cases in Rajasthan on Monday, 414 in Jaipur alone

Jaipur: Much enthusiasm was seen among teenagers who lined up for first dose of vaccine on Monday. Over 3 lakh 39,000 children between 15 & 18 years were administered dose of Covaxin.

Jaipur gets highest dose of 22,000 doses, Sikar lags behind. Health minister Parsadi Lal Meena said that health workers at 4,162 Covid vaccination centres in the state helped children get their first dose of vaccine.

“In the coming days, vax will be done in schools as well.

All CMHOs have been instructed to organize camps by talking to private & govt schools & hostel administration as well,” he said.

Vaibhav Galriya, Principal Secretary, health department said that the Government of India has set a target of immunization of 46 lakh children.
