MODI’S MISSION ‘NAYA KASHMIR’!

Srinagar: In his first visit to Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday unveiled multiple development projects worth more than Rs 6,400 crore, during the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ programme at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium.

Revealing his next mission ‘Wed in India’, PM Modi said people should come to Jammu and Kashmir and host their weddings. “The world has seen how G20 was organised in J&K. There was a time when people used to say, who will go to J&K for tourism? Today, tourism in Jammu and Kashmir is breaking all records. In 2023, more than 2 crore tourists have come here. Now big celebrities from across the world are also coming to J&K,” he said.

Addressing the gathering, the PM said that the feeling of arriving in heaven on earth cannot be put into words. “This unparalleled form of nature, the air, the valley, the environment and the love and affection of Kashmiri brothers and sisters”, he remarked. He also acknowledged presence of over 1 lakh people from over 285 blocks virtually.
