MODI-SHAH’S ‘SILENT’

New Delhi: Let us tell you an interesting anecdote about the ‘discrete’ working style of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah! The anecdote pertains to the candidature of Jagdeep Dhankhar for the post of Vice- President. Highly placed sources in ‘relevant’ circles have revealed that Dhankhar had met the Home Minister on July 15 at 11 am and briefed him on the situation in Bengal for about 40 minutes. After this, on July 16, at around 4 pm, Dhankhar reached to meet the Prime Minister and the entire focus of the conversation held for about half an hour was on Bengal.

However, during their meeting with Dhankhar, Modi-Shah did not even give an iota of hint to the West Bengal Governor of his possible candidature for the post of Vice-President. And then on the same day at 7 pm, JP Nadda announced Dhankhar’s candidature in a press conference. During this time, Dhankhar was at the President’s farewell banquet, where he received Nadda’s message. Even the Rashtrapati Bhavan was also keeping an eye on all these developments. Therefore, immediately after the said announcement, Dhankhar’s dinner table was changed and then Dhankhar sat at the table next to the President.
