Mines Min Bhaya receives Nat’l Mineral Devp Award from Shah

New Delhi: Mines and Animal Husbandry Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya received the ‘National Mineral Development Award’ in the field of minor minerals from Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a function organised at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi on Tuesday. It was a proud moment for Rajasthan as it has been awarded second prize. Union Minister of Mines, Coal and Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi and Minister of State for Mines, Coal and Railways Rao Saheb Patil Danve were also present on the occasion.

It is for the first time that the state has been awarded at the national level in the field of mines. The Mines Minister said that it is a historic day for Rajasthan. “Under the able guidance of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, historical achievements have been made in the field of mineral exploration, mining and revenue collection. Rajasthan got the second prize for successful auction by preparing plots of minor minerals like mica, granite and marble blocks,” he said. Bhaya said that the Central government appreciated the achievements of three months of the current financial year and announced an incentive along with the award.

Agarwal said that on successful auction of major mineral plots, an incentive amount of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh has been given to state for successful auction of 8 blocks. Agarwal said that in 2021-22, a new record of revenue collection of Rs 6,395 cr 15 lakh was made in state. Similarly, revenue of Rs 224 cr 28L has been obtained by appraising 422 minor mineral plots with an area of 1009 hectares.

Bhilwara DM Ashish Modi, Addl Director Mahesh Mathur, Devendra God, Anil Khmesra, Anil Verma, Jinesh Humad, ACO Zila Parishad Mahendra Singh Mehta were also present.
