Like father, like son: Is Tejashwi on Lalu’s path?

New Delhi: Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest of Lalu Prasad’s two sons, is believed to engage in politics like his father, i.e. in a typical rustic style. He meets party workers just like Lalu. He also always talks about cow, buffalo and his speech is also like that of Lalu Prasad. But Lalu Prasad has made his younger son Tejashwi Yadav, his political successor. Now after becoming the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar for the second time, Tejashwi Yadav has started functioning in exactly the manner in which his father Lalu Prasad Yadav used to do in his first term. Don’t know whether Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav will be able to do politics in the way Lalu used to do, but Tejashwi Yadav has started working like him in the government.

When Lalu Prasad first became the chief minister in 1990, he started the surprise inspection. Lalu Prasad Yadav first did a surprise inspection at Patna Medical College and Hospital i.e. PMCH, the biggest hospital in the state of Bihar. Many doctors were missing and the whole system was messed up after which he suspended many people. After that suddenly a narrative was made in Bihar that Lalu Prasad is deliberately going to hospitals and colleges because most of the doctors and teachers there are upper castes. There were allegations against Lalu that he was harassing the upper castes under his backward caste politics. Tejashwi also made a surprise visit to PMCH after becoming the Deputy Chief Minister. When he reached PMCH after midnight, many doctors were missing and he later reprimanded the doctors.
