K Balaji appointed as Personal secy to Minister G Reddy

Lucknow: The Central Government has approved the appointment of 2010 batch UP cadre IAS officer K Balaji as Personal Secretary to the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy in the Ministry of Tourism.

Recently, the Appointment and Personnel Department of UP relieved him of state government posts and sent him on central deputation. Balaji, soon after being relieved, had visited the CM’s Office in Lok Bhavan and met all the senior IAS officers. Balaji, who is originally from Triucharapalli (Tamil Nadu), is counted among the most hardworking and honest officers of UP. He started his career as joint Magistrate of Basti in 2012 and has held posts like CDO Agra, Special Secretary Medical Health and Family Welfare, CDO Ballia, and MD, UP Land Reform Corporation. During his stint as DM of Auraiya, Ghazipur and Meerut, he undertook several projects to improve the condition of these districts.

Balaji has started his new stint as Personal Secretary to G Kishan Reddy from Thursday.
