JDA’s Rs 60 cr project by month-end to solve waterlogging on Sikar road

Jaipur: Waterlogging due to rain on Sikar road and the catchment area of more than one crore square metres on either side will soon end after the JDA project worth more than Rs 60 crore will start by the month end.

After heavy rain, four to five feet water accumulates from Delhi Bypass to Chomu pulia. To address this during the previous Congress government, the JDA had given a work order to PD Kaur last year to prepare a detailed project report (DPR).

During an inspection of the Jhotwara Elevated Road Project, Deputy CM Diya Kumari had instructed JDA officials to begin work soon.

The first phase tender was approved in the executive committee meeting chaired by JDA Commissioner Manju Rajpal. People of 300 colonies, including Vidyadhar Nagar and Muralipura will benefit.
