Ishq Vishk fame Shenaz Treasury diagnosed with prosopagnosia – inability to recognize faces

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Shenaz Treasury stole hearts with her portrayal of the stylish and beautiful Alisha Sahay in the 2003 movie Ishq Vishk. The actress since then has been an active social media user and updates her fans with insights from her life. Recently, the actress posted a series of posts on her story revealing that she has been diagnosed with ‘Prosopagnosia’.

Treasury stated that prosopagnosia is a cognitive disorder that causes people the inability to recognize faces. Along with some information about what the disease actually is, she wrote, “I have been diagnosed with prosopagnosia. Now I understand why I’ve never been able to put faces together. It’s a cognitive disorder. I always feel ashamed I can’t recognize faces. I recognize voices. This is me!!! And I thought I was just dumb.”

She further mentioned, “Went through my whole life wondering why I can’t recognize anyone – Now I realise I have this cognitive disorder.” Shenaz added, “So now Pleaseee understand that this is a real disorder and not me being aloof or snobbish. I have always felt so ashamed that I mix up people and can’t recognize faces of people – even close friends if I see after a few years- I can’t recognize them. This is a real brain issue. Please be kind and understand.”

Shenaz Treasury was last seen in the 2021 English film ‘Americanish’. She has a steady following on social media and keeps her fans updated with some fun posts and videos about her travelling escapades.
