Is Salman Khan The New Promoter of Nepotism? Actor replaces Arshad Warsi With Brother-In-Law In His Upcoming Film

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Karan Johar has time and again been blamed for promoting nepotism as the producer and director refuses to give a chance to anyone else other than star kids. But it is of knowledge that the Bollywood industry is very exclusive and dissents from giving a chance to new and talented outsiders. Salman Khan became the latest example of this as he has reportedly removed Arshad Warsi and Shreyas Talpade to replace them with Ayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal in his upcoming film, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, after producer Sajid Nadiadwala opted out of the film, Salman Khan took the movie under his banner, Salman Khan Films. The actor then replaced Arshad Warsi and Shreyas Talpade who had pivotal supporting roles with his brother-in-law Ayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal who is a close family friend.

The source from Bollywood Hungama was quoted saying, “Salman Khan has got Aayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal onboard Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali to replace Shreyas Talpade and Arshad Warsi. The Farhad Samji film now features Salman Khan with Aayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal as his brothers. While Pooja Hegde plays Salman's love interest, South Superstar, Venkatesh has come on board to play a key parallel lead. Previously, Aayush had stepped out of the film, as the role was not as big as Antim. But then, he again showed eagerness to be a part of it. Now it is official that after all the yes and no, he will indeed feature alongside Salman in the film.”

Another report by News18 even claimed that a source close to the film had revealed that Arshad and Shreyas were never a part of the film.

Whether the news is true or not is a big question. But it still does not change the fact that Bollywood is a big supporter of nepotism and an outside talent to infiltrate the huge walls set by Bollywood biggies is a task. Arshad Warsi and Shreyas Talpade have always been great actors and to them not getting the recognition they deserve is the sad reality of an industry as acclaimed as Bollywood.
