Is Nitish’s exit from NDA ‘ache din’ for Chirag?

Patna: Chirag Paswan’s exile seems to be over. Due to Nitish Kumar, the BJP had kept him on the sidelines and had also forced him to vacate the bungalow allotted to his father Ram Vilas Paswan in Delhi. His party with six MPs had also broken up, under which his uncle parted ways over five MPs and became a minister in the central government, for which Nitish Kumar had lobbied. If Chirag Paswan’s exile ends and is rehabilitated in NDA then it will be difficult for Pashupati Paras. He will have to decide whether he will continue to be minister at the Center or do their positioning in terms of Bihar politics. If he thinks of continuing as a minister at the Centre, then a compromise will have to be made with the nephew.

However, that issue will is for later. The immediate matter is that Chirag Paswan became active as soon as the dispute started between JDU and BJP in Bihar and there was speculation about Nitish Kumar doing a U-turn and going with the BJP. Chirag started making anti-Nitish statements. Till now he was silent because the damage he had to cause to Nitish had already been done in the 2020 assembly elections. But now as the ‘synergy’ between BJP and JDU is over, an opportunity is being created for them.
