Illegal ‘Suman City’ emerges in ecological zone at Agra Road
Jaipur: Despite strict orders from the Rajasthan High Court, land mafia and real estate developers continue to establish illegal colonies in restricted ecological zones. One such case involves a prominent Jaipur-based real estate company, linked to a powerful political family, developing an unauthorized colony named ‘Suman City’ on 30 bighas of agricultural land near Kanota on the Jaipur-Agra highway.
This colony is being established through ‘Pratap Nagar Housing Cooperative Society’, without approval from the JDA or land conversion. The land lies within an ecological zone, close to the Dhund river & Hingonia Gaushala, where the High Court has imposed a ban on any construction activities. The project includes commercial properties and roads on the 60-foot wide highway, with maps of the colony already circulating in the market.
