New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled the national emblem cast on the roof of the new Parliament building. Officials said the emblem is made up of bronze with a total weight of 9,500 kg and is 6.5 metre in height.

Construction work of the New Parliament Building is going on as per the schedule and civil work is almost complete. So far, 62 per cent of the work has been completed and it is likely to be completed and handed over to both the Houses by October 30. Winter Session of Parl is likely to be held in the new building.
