Health dept orders probe for financial irregularities in Med, Nursing Councils

Jaipur: In response to First India’s exclusive report regarding financial irregularities in various councils of the Medical Department, department of health principal secretary Gayatri Rathore took major action. She has directed to investigate the disclosure of financial irregularities worth crores in honorariums and allowances across all councils. After the Rajasthan Medical Council, now directives have been issued to investigate the work of the Rajasthan Nursing Council and Rajasthan Paramedical Council for past 3 years.

Director (Non-Gazetted) Rakesh Kumar Sharma has been assigned the responsibility of investigating the Nursing Council and PCPNDT Project Director Mahipal Singh has been tasked with the investigation of the Paramedical Council. Both administrative officials have been directed to conduct a random investigation and present a report within next 15 days.
