Gallantry recommendation for ACP’s reader sparks row

Jaipur: Why was Subhash’s file sent for gallantry without knowing the whole truth? Subhash is the reader of ACP Gandhinagar.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate a case of human organ trafficking and Subhash was also included in this SIT, but the High Court did not agree with the SIT’s investigation report, as the High Court stated that the SIT did not investigate the matter thoroughly. After the High Court’s observation, all police officers who were part of the investigation team should have received a warning from Police Headquarters (PHQ) but instead, Subhash’s name was forwarded for gallantry promotion.

Now the question arises, what influence is at play that is working in favour of a particular police personnel? Will chief secretary Sudhansh Pant, ACS Home Anand Kumar and other senior officials look into this whole matter?
