Fulfill duties with rights, urges Guv Mishra
Lucknow: Highlighting the supreme importance of the Constitution, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Sunday urged people to fulfill their duties along with exercising their rights.
He underscored that the Indian Constitution embodies the highest ideals of life, emphasizing harmony, love, faith in justice, and equality.
Speaking at a seminar on the Constitution in Lucknow, Mishra highlighted the artwork by Shantiniketan artist Nandlal Bose and his peers on the original Constitution, noting that these paintings vividly portray India’s historical and cultural values.
He mentioned that the original copy of the Constitution includes depictions such as the GuruShishya tradition, the Indian tradition of Yajna, Lord Ram returning to Ayodhya with Sita in the Pushpak Viman, Shri Krishna’s teachings to Arjuna, Lord Buddha, Gandhiji’s Dandi Yatra, Subhash Chandra Bose, as well as representations of the ocean and the desert.
Governor Kalraj Mishra reiterated that the Constitution reflects the nation’s history, traditions, and concerns related to life. He said that confusion should not be spread on the Constitution. The governor also called upon citizens to contribute to the nation’s development by adhering to the principles laid out in the Constitution.
