Ex-CEC Sunil Arora: EVMs can never be tempered

Hyderabad: The launch ceremony of Telangana People’s Agenda for Development (TPAD) took place at the Institute of Engineers India in Hyderabad’s Khairtabad on Friday.

Former Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora attended the ceremony as chief guest. The event was presided by Prof T Tirupati Rao, who is the chairman of the T-PAD.

Arora, while speaking during the ceremony, recalled his fond memories with Hyderabad.

He also said that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) can have flaws like any other machine, but cannot be tempered. “We faced various courts on several occasions, but none of them ever doubted the integrity of the election Commission,” he added.
