Devoleena Bhattacharjee upset about not participating in KKK S12 alongside Pratik Sehajpal

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Devoleena Bhattacharjee had made a name for herself in the television industry after playing the role of Gopi Bahu on the long-running show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She has not only excelled in acting but is known for her excellent dancing skills and melodious voice. The actress is going to be seen in the short film ‘First Second Chance’, a Lakshmi R Iyer directorial. The film also stars Renuka Shahane and Ananth Mahadevan in the lead roles. The actress sat down with First India Filmy to talk about her upcoming project, her dismay over being unable to participate in KKK S12 and her next venture with Pratik Sehajpal.

Talking about her film Second First Chance, Devoleena stated, “I loved the story as soon as I heard it because there are very few stories that we have seen that touch such topics. Especially when I heard that Renuka Ma’am and Ananth Sir were onboard, I was very excited. Not many in life get a second chance and there are very few who are lucky enough to get that. Such is the story of our film.”

Devoleena revealed that she loved herself as her character Vaidehi. “When I saw myself in the camera for the first time, I got goosebumps. I was like, Oh My God, even I can look so beautiful!”, the actress chirped. She further revealed that she absolutely loved working with Lakshmi R Iyer.

The actress added that she does not reveal her future projects to anyone but gave a special insight to her fans. “I am coming up with something and will start the shoot in a month”, she stated.

 The actress revealed that the artistic talent that she holds comes from her family. She stated, “Ever since I was born, I have seen people only sing. So, I started my stint as an artist at the age of four. I have seen my mother bag the best actress award as well as the best actor award for a cosplay role. Although I am the person in my family who broke the stereotype and went into dancing.”

Addressing the issue that fans are most curious about, Devoleena spoke about Pratik and her dismay over not being able to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi alongside him. “If my leg was in good condition, I may have participated in the show. But I am very excited for Pratik and Nishant who are good friends of mine. I am going to watch for them and I am sure they are going to do good,” she said.

She also showed her eagerness to do a music video with him while stating, “We are in touch and talk sometimes. It is just that I am busy with my schedule and he is busy with his. When I used to be in town, he would be away and vice versa. Which is why we couldn’t meet but are hopeful of collaborating soon.”
