Denied meeting with Edu Min, Prez of schools’ org attempts self-immolation

Jaipur: After the students, now the private school owners have started protest against govt over state’s education system.

On Saturday, members of School Shiksha Parivar gheraoed the house of Education Minister BD Kalla over the pending demands.

But when the Education Minister refused to meet the protesters, Parivar’s president Anil Sharma tried to immolate himself.

He was later admitted to SMS Hospital. Private school owners had come to meet Kalla regarding their pending demands including RTE payment.

Kalla allowed only two persons to meet, citing the Covid protocol. This angered Sharma. Kalla said that the legitimate demands of private school owners will be fulfilled. Condemning the suicide bid.
