Custodial death of Dalit youth alleged in Nagaur
A controversial incident has emerged from Jayal in Nagaur, where a Dalit youth was found dead under suspicious circumstances. The body of the young man was discovered in the Rohina area, located within the jurisdiction of Badi Khatu Police Station. His family has alleged that he died while in police custody.
The deceased was reportedly taken by Tamil Nadu Police two days ago, under the claim that he was wanted in a case. The family claims late last night, they were informed of the youth’s death. Upon hearing the news, the family members and villagers gathered at the Sub-Dit Hospital, where the body has been kept in mortuary for over 10 hours. They are now protesting, demanding the arrest of the responsible officers and compensation for family.
