CS to chair review meet on environmental safeguards & illegal mining on Aug 27

Jaipur: CS Sudhansh Pant will chair an important review meeting focusing on environmental safeguards and actions against illegal mining tomorrow. The meeting will include key officials such as Additional Chief Secretaries Aparna Arora (Forest and Environment), Sreya Guha (Transport), and Anand Kumar (Home), along with Director General of Police UR Sahoo, Principal Secretaries from the Law and Legal Affairs and Revenue Departments, Secretary of Mines and Petroleum Anandhi, and Transport Commissioner Manisha Arora.

All District Collectors, Superintendents of Police, Deputy Conservators of Forests, DTOs, & Mineral Engineers will participate virtually.

The agenda includes a 10-point discussion: reviewing compliance reports from Jan 11, assessing progress on illegal mining actions, evaluating district committee meets, addressing issues like mining mafia obstruction, violence, & damage to property. It will also cover Mining areas, land banks and prevention.
