BJP’s 4 seats being vacant, Cong’s seats will increase

Jaipur: In the midst of Congress’ ‘Chintan Shivir’ RS elections have been announced. Elections on 4 seats would be held in June this year and in terms of numbers, 3 seats may go to the account of Congress, however, it is sure that the party will secure 2 out of 4 seats.

In 2022, the seats of 4 BJP RS MPs Om Prakash Mathur, KJ Alphons, Ramkumar Verma and Harshvardhan Singh Dungarpur will fall vacant. Polls to be held in 2022 are also expected to be good for Congress. In Rajasthan, BJP lacks the MLA ‘strength’ it needs to make an impact in the House.

In last RS polls, out of 3 seats, the Congress party had captured two seats, while one seat went to the BJP’s account. KC Venugopal and Neeraj Dangi won the election with a surplus vote. Congress and BJP will have special focus on 13 independent MLAs, BTP and RLP MLAs. The politics of Congress rests on strategy of CM Ashok Gehlot.
