Rajasthan CM including other leaders attends last rites of former EAM Natwar Singh

New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and other leaders attended the last rites of former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, at Lodhi Cremation Centre in the national capital on Monday.
Natwar Singh passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram (Haryana) on the night of August 10, following a prolonged illness.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat who attended the last rite rituals of former External Affairs Minister said that Natwar Singh was a bold and courageous person.
"Natwar Singh was a bold and courageous person. He always expressed his views fearlessly which were in the best interests of the country and society...I pay tribute to Natwar Singh...May god give strength to the family of Natwar Singh to bear the loss," Gajendra Singh Shekhawat told reporters.
Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the former External Affairs Minister served for country throughout his life.
"He made a place for himself in his administration services and politics. Everyone trusted him...Throughout his life, he served the country," Hooda said.
Earlier today, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaihankar also paid tribute to former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, at Lodhi Cremation Centre.
Former External Affairs Minister and Congress leader K Natwar Singh passed away on Saturday night at the age of 93. He passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram (Haryana) last night, following a prolonged illness. His last rites will be performed at Lodhi Road Crematorium tomorrow, August 12.
Singh had a distinguished career in diplomacy and politics, serving as the External Affairs Minister from 2004 to 2005 in the Cabinet of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh of the UPA government. Singh was also awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1984.
