Bid to crush bizman under SUV after he denies ransom

Barmer: A criminal attempted to kill a businessman after he denied giving ransom. Incident took place under Balotra police station area. Victim, who got severe injuries, is undergoing treatment at government hospital in Balotra. Till the last report police initiated probe into the matter but no arrest was made.

According to the police, complainant Pawan Kumar, a resident of Balotra and also a local bizman, alleged that Jagdish Purohit, a resident of Housing Board area in Jodhpur, was harassing him for ransom of Rs 2 crore. He alleged that when he denied, he threatened to kill him. He alleged that on Friday accused Jagdish attempted to kill his brother Sudhir by crushing him down under his SUV car. He alleged that accused dragged his brother from his car for 30 feet. A video of the incident went viral.
