Auction process of rare earth, metal & potash cancelled in Raj

Jaipur: Auction process of rare earth, metal and potash exploration blocks has been cancelled in REE Block of Barmer and Jodhpur district, Chhaba, Navatala, Pataudi, Renwal, Rathal, Kaldera block of Jaipur, Sikar, and Nagaur districts.

The auction of Sarasar-Pallu-Dhandhusar-Hardaswali block of Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Churu, and Bikaner has also been cancelled. Earlier, Rajasthan became the leading state with NIT for exploration licence of three blocks of rare mineral ore and potash. On March 6, in just five days, the Mines Department completed the formalities of EL auction and issued NIT. Perhaps this haste cost them. EL’s auction for two blocks of rare earth elements and one block of potash is in trouble. The department cancelled the auction citing rule 19E (11).
