Arhaan was howling on the phone: Malaika on son’s reaction after fatal accident

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Malaika Arora went through a life-threateningly tough situation in recent times. She got into a car accident while returning to Mumbai after attending a fashion show in Pune. The actress had reportedly sustained minor injuries on her head and eye after a car collided with hers. She was immediately rushed to the hospital and received proper treatment for her wounds. While talking to ETimes, Malaika opened up about how her son Arhaan reacted to the accident.

The 19-year-old who is currently in the US was severely affected by it, Malaika revealed. “After my accident, he was howling on the phone, and he was worried and just ready to hop on to the next flight. What do you expect from a kid in such a situation, especially when he’s miles away from home?” she said.

Malaika further added, “Everyone was talking to him but he didn’t want to believe anyone. His friends had called and told him things. He had no clue of the extent of damage that I had suffered. He only wanted to be sure that I was fine. Although he was told everything about my surgery and recovery, he didn’t believe anyone. He thought everyone was merely pacifying him. We were both not at peace till we hadn’t spoken. I knew he was aware of what had happened, and once I got off sedation, I spoke to him and assured him that I was okay. Life is so fragile and weird. One minute, you are bouncing and the next minute, you can come that close to death.”

The Munni Badnaam actress had thanked her doctors, friends and family in a post after she recovered from the accident for being by her side during such testing times.

Arhaan Khan is the 19-year-old son of Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan. Although they have parted ways, the duo is on mutually friendly terms. While Malaika has moved on with Arjun Kapoor and rumours of their wedding are also rife, Arbaaz is dating model and actress Giorgia Andriani.
