Agarwal to retire with CS dream unrealised

Lucknow: IAS Sanjay Agarwal presently posted in Delhi is set to retire on March 31, 2022. After Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, IAS Sanjay Aggarwal, the senior most bureaucrat of Uttar Pradesh government, will have to remain contended with his last posting as now he will not be able to become Chief Secretary of UP.

Even his junior IAS Rajendra Kumar Tiwari had fulfilled his aspiration of becoming the Chief Secretary of UP.

However as of now with the service extension of one year given by Centre to CS Durga Shanker Mishra, the chance of being appointed on top post of officers slated to retire in 2022 has already been put to a halt.

Agarawal is a 1984 batch officer currently serving as Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Deptt in Central Government. New Delhi has served as Principal Secteary of UP Power Corporation, ACS and Chairman UPPCL from the year 2013 to 2017. Originally from Aligarh, he completed his B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Electronics Engineering before turning bureaucrat.
