ACB arrests central GST superintendant with ₹1 lakh bribe

Jalore: The ACB team of Jalore arrested Central GST Superintendent Sheoram Meena on Wednesday afternoon for accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.

The accused was receiving bribe money through a petrol pump salesman Kartaram, who was also arrested. The search is on for the accountant of the petrol pump involved in the case.

ACB team searched the house and office of accused superintendent.

ASP Dr. Mahavir Singh Ranawat said the ACB team first caught Kartaram taking Rs 1 lakh as a bribe.

After this, GST superintendent Sheoram Meena was arrested from his office. It was decided to give the bribe amount to the accountant of the petrol pump Nitesh, but he was not there. Nitesh talked on the mobile and asked to give the money to Kartaram.

ASP Ranawat said that Khemraj Goswami, a resident of Hanuman Nagar, Jalore, has a granite business in Jalore.
