Shops shut in Mansarovar after JMCG issues notice
Jaipur: In protest against the notice of the JMCG, the nine markets of Mansarovar’s Madhyam Marg remained closed for four hours until 2 pm on Monday. Only medicines and essential items were sold. Traders took out a foot march from Thadi market and raised slogans against the JMCG admin. The JMCG had issued a notice on March 23 to ‘illegal shops’ in the Mansarovar zone asking them to stop commercial activities within seven days. Removal of illegal construction was also mentioned in the notice.
The corporation issued notice to demolish 468 houses & shops. Notices were given in case of construction on setback. JMCG Commissioner Mahendra Soni said that action was taken after court orders. “We are ready to help people but we have to inform court. If someone wants he can go to go court,” he said.
