Roadways’ tender nixed as companies quote steep prices
Jaipur: Rajasthan Roadways Chairman Anand Kumar has cancelled the tender issued for the purchase of new buses as it exceeded the budget. After a gap of several years, the Roadways was set to purchase a total of 590 buses in different categories, for which tenders were issued. Now, preparing fresh tenders may take time.
Rajasthan Roadways is facing a big crisis as buses are not available on rural and many urban routes. However, this is not the first case of cancellation of the tender process of buses in the Roadways.
Although officials of the Roadways claim that after the cancellation of the tender process, a new one will be prepared soon, but in view of the upcoming assembly elections in the state, it seems difficult.
