Ramdevra is a confluence of all faiths and beliefs: Om Birla

Pokhran: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla offered prayers at the Samadhi of folk deity Baba Ramdev during his one-day visit to Runicha Dham in Ramdevra. He prayed for peace and prosperity in the country and the state. Birla stated that folk deity Baba Ramdev is a symbol of social harmony. "Baba Ramdev's temple is a symbol of unity, love, and brotherhood, representing a confluence of all faiths and beliefs," he added.

“He did various works for the upliftment of Dalits. Baba's ideals will be remembered for ages,” he said.

Chief Pujari Kamal Changani performed ‘Puja’ at Baba Ramdev's Samadhi with Vedic mantras. After visiting Baba Ramdev's Samadhi, he also offered prayers at Dali Bai Temple.

Om Birla's simplicity was evident during his visit. He sat in a queue and ate food alongside the common people. The Lok Sabha Speaker was also given a grand welcome by the Maheshwari community.

Birla also visited the Mool Raj Ashram and met the local residents.
