Jaipur: Major changes have been made in the building bylaws in Rajasthan . The state government issued orders regarding the changes. According to changes, permission for the construction of buildings can be extended for years if construction is not done within the stipulated period. 20 percent of the approval fee will have to be paid for this. Chief Town Planner level officers posted in development corporations will be able to authorised to issue clarification or corrigendum and for technical interpretation of any provision of bylaws. Another change was made in context of height of buildings. Now tall buildings will not be allowed on small plots. Buildings up to 10 to 15 mtrs height can be built on 750 sqm. Earlier, ground plus three floors were allowed on 30-40 feet wide roads. Height of 15 meter was allowed on plot of 90 sq meter on roads of 60 feet or more but now construction up to 10 meter will be allowed. On 40-feet wide roads also, height of construction will be allowed up to 10 feet instead of earlier 12 metres.
