Dotasra, Pilot slam BJP on youth, Ambedkar, and accountability
Jaipur: PCC President Govind Dotasra accused the BJP of misleading youth in the 2023 elections, criticizing the central govt for failing to provide jobs. Addressing a Youth Congress protest at Shaheed Smarak, he condemned BJP’s alleged disrespect towards Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Parliament & labeled Bhankrota incident as “murder,” demanding legal action against responsible officials. Dotasra talked about Mahesh Roat’s ticket allocation & promised 50% of Panchayat and Municipal election tickets to youth candidates.
Former Dy CM Sachin Pilot joined the attack, alleging BJP policies are harming youth. He criticized the central government’s unfulfilled promises, saying educated youth are struggling for employment. He demanded an apology from BJP leaders for mishandling Ambedkar’s legacy and dismissed claims of injuries in Parliament, questioning their credibility. Referring to Rahul Gandhi, he remarked on his forgiving nature, adding, “Cameras in Parliament should reveal the truth.”
YOUTH CONG WORKERS CLASH WITH COPS, SEVEN HURT IN LATHI CHARGE
Tensions flared during a Youth Congress protest at the Shaheed Smarak, where several workers were injured after police resorted to lathi charge. Youth Congress workers had assembled for protest on various issues and when they tried to march towards civil lines, police prevented them and used mild force to disperse them. Among the injured, Youth Congress General Secretary Chhaganlal suffered a fracture in his leg. He was rushed to SMS Hospital for treatment. The lathi charge left several Youth Congress workers wounded. A total of seven workers were hospitalized
