DGGI Pune unit nabs Barmer youth in Rs 166.91 cr bogus scam

Jaipur: The Pune unit of DGGI arrested a 26-year-old youth in Barmer district on Friday accused of fraud of Rs 166.91 crore through bogus firms.

Accused Virendra Kumar alias Kalpesh Kumar is a resident of Deepaniyon ki Dhani, Murtala Gala, Barmer district. He was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate No. 2, Jaipur Metropolitan on Friday by Anurag Shrivastava, Senior Investigation Officer of DGGI Pune unit. He sought Kumar’s transit remand which was given. DGGI Pune team has left for Pune with the accused. Kumar is accused of getting GST registration by forging Aadhaar card.
