CM: Prosperous farmers key to building a developed Rajasthan

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the rise in farmers’ and cattle rearers’ incomes symbolizes Rajasthan’s prosperity. He stated that empowering them to be self-reliant will establish a solid foundation for a developed Rajasthan. Sharma assured that farmer welfare topics would feature prominently in the upcoming revised budget for 2024-25.

Addressing a prebudget discussion at the Chief Minister’s Office on Friday with farmers, cattle rearers, and Dairy Association representatives, Sharma highlighted farmer welfare as a top priority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted Modi’s release of the 17th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi in his third term.

The Chief Minister underscored that the state government’s six-month tenure has focused on comprehensive farmer development. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Diya Kumari, along with Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Dr Kirodi Lal Meena, participated in the programme via VC.
