Celebrating Lord Ram’s return at Shivaji Park

At Shivaji Park’s Ramlila, those who saw Lord Shri Ram in his ascetic attire rushed home to prepare aarti plates for his grand coronation upon his return. The atmosphere at Shivaji Park Ramlila Ground was filled with joy and festivity from the morning. Thousands of people showered flowers to welcome Lord Shri Ram as he returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and his victory over Lanka.

Ramlila President Shyam Sharma mentioned that the grand aarti during Lord Ram’s coronation has been a long-standing tradition and is a major highlight of the Ramlila. Lord Ram’s grand procession reaches the stage in full celebration. Lord Hanuman brings the good news of Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya to Bharatlal. Bharatlal, along with his younger brother Shatrughna, rushes to welcome Ramji. The reunion of the brothers was marked by a grand shower of flowers from the crowd. After this, Ramji’s formal coronation took place, with Guru Vashishta performing the first tilak. As soon as the coronation happened on stage, thousands of devotees, who had brought decorated aarti plates from their homes, performed the grand aarti of Ramji’s coronation.
