2,576 school vehicles inspected, 616 fined

Jaipur: In an action against school vehicles, the Transport Department is inspecting and penalising the ones running against the laws.

The state hasn’t seen such an action in the past. A total of 2,576 school vehicles were inspected on Saturday across the state and 616 were penalised.

Around 142 school vehicles were seized as they were running contrary to rules. Transport Commissioner Mahendra Soni’s leadership was evident in Saturday’s action. Soni did day-long monitoring. Right from the morning, all RTO’s and DTO’s were seen in action

. As the investigation began, the irregularities in the vehicles came out. These school vehicles were making fun of traffic rules in the state.

After the road accident in Jaisalmer, the Transport Department has started the campaign.
