Will Face everything Together : Shamshera Director Karan Malhotra

Shamshera director Karan Malhotra defended the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer after the film tanked at the box office.

Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt starrer Shamshera a movie that marks the return of Kapoor scion to the silver screen, couldn’t attract cinema lovers to the theatres. The film’s director Karan Malhotra, who was MIA after the release, shared a heart-breaking note as the film tanked at the box office.

While the film's opening day numbers were dismal, it showed a further drop on Monday with 65 percent deduction in earnings. Now, director Karan Malhotra has addressed the film's failure at the box office in an emotional Instagram post “Shamshera is mine."

Ranbir Kapoor has already moved on to the shoot of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s thriller Animal. And of course, the magnum opus Brahmastra whose first part arrives in cinemas on September 9 this year.
