516 students receive degrees at 8th IIT Jodhpur convocation

Jodhpur: A convocation ceremony of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur was held on Saturday evening. In this, degrees were awarded to 516 students.

For the first time since 2009, more than 500 students were awarded degrees at IIT Jodhpur.

The chief guest of the function was Dr Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Axilor Ventures, and the guest of honor was Dr Ashish Lele, Director, CSIRNational Chemical Laboratory, Pune.

The programme was presided over by the Director of IIT Jodhpur, Prof Shantanu Chodhary. Degrees were awarded to 16 PhD, 58 MBA, 123 M Tech students at the function.

On this occasion, Director Professor Shantanu, said that the number of students in IIT Jodhpur has also increased from 3,329 to 4,065.
