Deepika Padukone Lauds 'Kalki 2898 AD' for Merging Technology with Soulful Performances

Anticipation for Kalki 2898 AD is at an all-time high, with fans eagerly awaiting its release. The film, featuring cutting-edge CGI and breathtaking shots, promises to set a new benchmark in Indian cinema, matching international standards. Following the release trailer, excitement has only grown, furthered by ‘The Kalki Chronicles,’ an interview series featuring the stellar cast and the film producers offering behind-the-scenes insights.

Deepika Padukone, one of the film's stars, recently spoke about the balance between technology and the essence of performances in ‘Kalki 2898 AD.’ She praised the film's technology, saying, "For all of us to be a part of a movie where I think every kind of technology that is available in the world today is probably at our disposal.” 

Despite the extensive use of AI and other advanced technologies, Deepika emphasized the importance of preserving the soul of the performances. “With AI and things like that, I think you can lose the soul of the performances," she noted but also went on to commend director Nag Ashwin for his adept handling of this balance saying, “The fact that we have a director who has used it so intelligently.” 

Kalki 2898 AD boasts a stellar cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Directed by Nag Ashwin produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is set to release on June 27th.
