Polarization in Jaipur urban increased voting by 2.3%

Jaipur: In elections held so far in Raj, Congress has performed better in rural areas while BJP has performed better in urban areas. Due to this, political analysts consider Congress as a villagebased party and BJP as a city-based party.

This time in polls, voting has increased in urban areas to the tune of 0.97 % compared to last time. In many districts, urban areas have been ahead of rural areas. Among these, the State capital Jaipur has been at forefront, where the issue of religious polarization has directly cropped up in 3 urban seats. Jaipur witnessed an increase of about 2.3% in vote percentage.
