The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in western Rajasthan on Thursday amid the continuous monsoon activity. Yellow alert has been issued for 8 districts of the state including 5 districts of western region.
Due to the monsoon kindness in Rajasthan, there is a continuous flow of rain in various areas. Monsoon has been active in the state for the last 15 days. The monsoon is expected to continue in the state on Thursday as well.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains with a strong thunderstorm in 8 districts including 5 districts of western Rajasthan for 20 August. A yellow alert has been issued for these districts.
The monsoon is expected to remain high in western Rajasthan on Thursday amidst the rains in the state. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for eight districts in the state and expressed the possibility of heavy rain with thunder.
Out of these 8 districts, 5 districts are from western Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, and Nagaur, there is a possibility of rains in Kota, Jhalawar, and Baran districts of eastern Rajasthan.
On Wednesday, there has been heavy rain in the capital Jaipur. In the outskirts of the city especially, there was a spell of torrential rain. About 4 inches of rain has been recorded in the capital on Budhwar.
According to the Meteorological Department, 95 mm rainfall has been recorded at the airport. Due to the heavy rains, Jaipur once again became watery. Traffic was affected due to rain. This round of rain started from late evening on Wednesday and continued till late night.
At the same time, many other parts of the state also received heavy rains. Jhunjhunun's Pilani has recorded 47.2 mm and Churu 20 mm of rainfall. Apart from this, rain has been recorded in Chintaudgarh and Vanasthali of Tonk. In Bikaner city too, the wish of people waiting for long rains was fulfilled. Clouds rained heavily there too.
