T he Vande Bharat Mission is a blessing for the people who returned home and they are full of gratitude for those who facilitated. The 48 passengers who returned from Peru are singing praises of Foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla for all his efforts.
Jaipur Foot USA Chairman Prem Bhandari sends off the last special flight of the second phase from New York’s JFK Airport under the Vande Bharat Mission ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ . The Air India flight from JFK International Airport to Bengaluru had 327 passengers, including two infants, according to officials.
Along with him, India’s Consul General in New York Sandeep Chakravorty and Deputy Consul General Shatrughna Sinha were also present at the airport to supervise the process. Bhandari also informed that KK Mehta, who is also a member of the advisory board of finance for Jaipur Foot USA, hosted the Air India Crew at Stay Bridge Hotel, Times Square.
Bhandari has described the ‘Vande Bharat’ exercise to repatriate Indians stranded abroad as a ‘historic humanitarian mission’ by the Indian government as he along with other members of the Indian-American community accorded a warm welcome to an Air India crew in New York. For taking such initiative, he is also receiving appreciation messages from people across the globe thanking him for his support and concern for the stranded people.
