Jaipur: Rajasthan Tourism Information Centres will be opened in various states across the country soon under the initiative of Tourism Department, led by Minister Vishvendra Singh. In this regard, a meeting was held in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of ACS Finance Niranjan Arya on Friday where it was decided to open Tourist Information Centres in other states and Rajasthan, keeping in mind the convenience of tourists coming to the state. Principal Secretary Tourism Shreya Guha and other officials were also present in the meeting. These centres could be started by the Tourism Department by next week. For this, the department has already sought approval on 44 earlier sanctioned posts from the Finance Department. In 2017, the previous BJP government had decided to close the Tourist Information Centres and since then they are shut. Now, tourists coming from India and abroad will get facility of Tourist Information Centres at tourist places and also airports, bus stands and railway stations, so that tourists can get all information easily. Fresh start: These centres could be started by next week and for it, Tourism Department has already sought approval on 44 earlier sanctioned posts from Finance Dept.
