Kota: The wait for martyr Hemraj Meena’s wife Madhubala Meena for erecting the statue of her husband, who got martyred in 2019-Pulwama attack, is now over as the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has sent the statue to Kota from his residence in New Delhi.

The statue was prepared with the efforts of Birla and it will be erected in Vinod kalan, the village of Hemraj Meena.

Birla had sanctioned a fund of Rs 10 lakh for the statue which was built by sculptor Naresh Kumawat in Gurugram after nearly three months of hard work.

The statue is about 7 feet high and weighs 300-kg.

The park where the statue of Hemraj Meena will be erected, has also been developed with an financial aid of Rs 20 lakh. 

In the meanwhile, LS Speaker Om Birla paid homage to the martyr and sent the statue to Kota. (Bhanwar S Charan)
