Ramann takes charge as SIDBI chief for 3 yrs

Lucknow: Sivasubramanian Ramann has taken charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the leading financial institution for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises.
The appointment is for a period of three years from April 19.
Sivasubramanian Ramann is an officer of the 1991-batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) cadre who was until recently posted as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National e-Governance Services Limited (NESL) which is an organisation of the Government of India.
Ramann, prior to joined the NESL was the was the Principal Accountant General of the State of Jharkhand in 2015-2016 and has also held the post of Executive Director (ED), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) from 2006 to 2013 while he was deputation from the Government of India.
Sivasubramanian Ramann has a BA in Economics and MBA from Delhi University. His professional qualifications include LLB, M Sc in Regulation from the London School of Economics, Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Florida and Post Graduate Diploma in Securities Law.
In a statement, SIDBI, which was set up in 1990, said the organisation has a vision of serving the national missions of Aatmanirbhar Bharat with credit plus, digital delight and strengthened MSME ecosystem under Ramann’s leadership.
Prior to this, Ramann was managing director and chief executive of National E-Governance Services Ltd. Before NeSL, he was principal accountant general of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2016.
