Ram Mandir Trust sets up 700 fixed deposit accounts
Lucknow: The Ram Janm Bhumi Tirth trust, has set up more than 700 fixed deposit accounts, each amounting Rs 2 crore each for future planning of the Ram Temple being constructed in Ayodhya. The amount has been collected during the Nidhi Samarpan Campaign spearheaded by the trust.
More than 1500 crores have been deposited in Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank in 700 parts. Most of the FDs amount to Rs 2 crore.
Official sources here said the decision of FDs in smaller amount was taken to meet future expanses without disturbing bigger amount. Trust pays money to several service providers as per bonds.
FIR against poet Munnavar Rana
An FIR was lodged at Hazaratganj police station under SC/ST act and other charges, on complaint of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha and Samajik Sarokar Foundation against renowned Urdu poet Munawwar Rana on Friday. Rana allegedly compared Maharshi Valmiki with Taliban which hurt sentiments of the community. Rana, the famous Urdu poet had supported Taliban’s take over on Afghanistan.
