Bikeru scandal: Among the 40 policemen and officers included in the SIT report, action has been recommended against the then SP (Rural) Pradyuman Singh, the then CO (Cantt) Ram Krishna Chaturvedi, and the current CO (LIU) Micro Prakash.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Bikru case in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has recommended action against 40 policemen in its report sent to the UP government.

Action will be taken after departmental inquiry into the matter. Among these 40 policemen, action has been recommended against the then SP (Rural) Pradyuman Singh, the then CO (Cant) Ram Krishna Chaturvedi, and the current CO (LIU) Micro Light.

Apart from these, SIT has been convicted by a former inspector and other policemen of Kanpur Nagar, Shivli police station of Kanpur Dehat and Krishna Nagar police station of Lucknow. These include the policemen who have already been convicted in the incident and have been arrested and sent to jail.

These include former SO Vinay Tiwari of Jail Choubepur, Daroga KK Sharma, Bajaria Thanedar Ramamurthy Yadav, former Bajaria Inspector Mohammad Ibrahim, SK Verma, former Choubepur SO Ved Prakash, Radhe Shyam Yadav, Sanjay Singh, Satish Chandra, Rakesh Kumar, Lalmani Singh, Brijkishore Mishra, Mukesh Kumar, former SO Shivli Rakesh Kumar Srivastava, former SO Dharmveer Singh of Rura are prominent.

Apart from these, the former SO of Najeerabad Jitendra Pal, Daroga Dewan Singh, Daroga Vishwanath Mishra, Azhar Ishrat, Kunwarpal Singh, Daroga Sanjay Kumar, Jai Kumar Tripathi, Indrapal, Baijnath Gaur, Sujit Kumar Mishra, Lavkush Singh Chauhan, the then Police Station in-charge Shivli Dewan Giri, Recommendation of action on Subedar Singh, former Inspector Anjani Kumar Pandey of Krishna Nagar Police Station, Lucknow, Daroga Avnish Kumar Singh of Krishna Nagar Police Station, Soldiers Laiq Singh, Rajeev Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, Kunwar Pal, Dharmendra Singh, Vikas Kumar, and Suresh Tiwari.
